Tybee Throws a Fit

On Labor Day weekend 2010, our friends will come back to the island to play on the beach once more. Mark Saturday, September 4 on your calendars, because starting at 8 a.m., the Pier’s about to rock! Tybee Throws a Fit is the Low Country’s largest fitness event. With participation from local fitness enthusiasts and personalities like Style Network’s Ruby Gettinger, celebrity trainer Michael Banks and others, participants can share in a range of physical activities and learn easy ways to keep fit.

Labor Day Beach Bash

Enjoy the ocean breezes, while live music fills the air from the Tybee Island Pier & Pavilion. Come to the 4th Annual Labor Day Beach Bash featuring free live entertainment & fireworks – oceanfront!

Tybee Island Pirate Fest

AHOY MATES! Swashbucklers of all ages will be converging on Tybee Island to participate in the 6th Annual Tybee Island Pirate Fest! Don your most colorful pirate’s costume, and gather your Krewe of marauding buccaneers, because Tybee will be overrun and invaded by pirates. That’s right the 6th Annual Pirate Fest weekend is coming October 7th-10th and that means lots of pirates, merriment, parade and much more.

Festival of the Arts

Upscale Art and Fine craft show with exceptional artists, live music and entertainment and culinary delights rain or shine. This festival is part of the Tybee culture and continues to establish higher standards for participation. New location, bigger prizes and more artists! South Beach in a magnificent tent! It will be the hub of island activity on festival weekend including painters, jewelers, potters, woodworkers, photographers, and weavers from throughout the Southeast. Entries will be juried for cash awards on Saturday morning. No charge to the public.

Tybee for the Holidays

Please make plans to join Tybee Island residents and businesses for a month long celebration of the holiday season. Starting Thanksgiving weekend and lasting thru New Year’s Day, we have a full calendar of events, activities and special occasions planned as only our whimsical islanders can! Holiday lights, a parade, special days to shop, a tea with Santa, PLUS a jump in the ocean with the polar bears. Tybee Island is “The People’s Beach,” only minutes from Savannah and we invite you to for the Holidays!
