And for the fellas, if you need a “dog house gift”, we’ve got ya covered!

Saturday, February 16th…the Tybee Mall is Open! At least that’s what we call “curbside retail”. Tybee’s annual Island-Wide Yard Sale. You know the Sisterhood is all over this one! All of our vendors will have their own junk & gems out in the parking lot (classy, ain’t we?) And of course, our very own, Queen of the Kurb, Mary Kay Andrews will be there peddling the junk in her trunk. She’s always got a festoon of fab finds!

Monday, February 25th…MAMM’S THE WORD! The Mobile Mammo Unit is back! St. Joe’s/Candler is back with another day of of being our breast friends forever (BFF!) Stay tuned for details because like previous mammogram offerings, you MUST make an appointment and you must pre-qualify for financial assistance. It’s EASY and we don’t turn anyone away…as long as you have an appointment! Detailed information is right around the corner!

As for March…well the madness continues with lots more mayhem. But we don’t think y’all can handle any more fun without bustin out the smelling salts. So hang onto your hoop skirts,  and we’ll get back to you girls for next month. In the meantime, start getting ready for February…it’s gonna be a doozie!

We LOVE our Stinking Badges!

March 5th, 2012

Today, March 5th marks the Girls Scouts of America’s 100th Anniversary!

“I’ve got something for the girls of Savannah, and all of America, and all the world, and we’re going to start it tonight!” On March 12, 1912, Juliette Low gathered 18 girls to register the first two patrols of American Girl Guides. Margaret “Daisy Doots” Gordon, her niece and namesake, was the first registered member. The name of the organization was changed to Girl Scouts the following year. “And the other greatest Sisterhood on the planet was born!

And the rest, as they say, is history! 4 million members and a WHOLE lotta cookies later, the birthplace of Juliette Gordon Low is a MUST-SEE in Savannah! In honor of this amazing SISTERHOOD,  we are sharing some badge-worthy ideas of our own!

For the month of March enjoy THIN MINT YOGURT at Seaside Sweets! And, in case you’d like to earn your “Martini Badge”, check out the following recipe for the Dirty Girl Scout Martini!

1 oz. vodka

1 oz. Kahlua Coffee Liqueur

1 oz. Bailey’s Irish Cream (tis  St. Patty’s Day)

1 oz. White Creme de Menthe

Mix the vodka, Kahlua and Bailey’s and pour over ice. Pour the Creme de Menthe down the center of the glass.

Enjoy, Sisters! Now go out there and do a good deed!
