Pirate’s Bootylicious

September 18th, 2011

It’s that time of year again….when flip flops and shorts are replaced by bustiers and pantaloons…it’s PIRATE FEST! From October 6th – 9th, Tybee will be turned into a pirate’s paradise! The pirate partying starts on October 6th with the Swashbuckler Bash under the tent at South Beach…the King and Queen of the Ball will be crowned as well as a Scallywag Costume Contest….(not sure if Scallywag wear is available at Victoria’s Secret).

Friday night brings the opening of the Thieves Open Market, live music and entertainment. Saturday offers the same fun but the pirates arrive (aaaarrrgghhhh) with the Parade at 3:00 PM down Butler Avenue. Sunday the Market continues with live music til 4 PM…then the pirates leave us for another year of plundering elsewhere until next year’s return. (Do Pirates go on booty calls???)

http://tybeepiratefest.com/ Visit the Tybee Pirate Fest website for more details….

Of course, Seaside Sisters is YOUR source for all things piratey and wenchy! Jewelry, hats, scarves, props and all kinds of booty….our pirate plunder sells FAST, so get your pantaloons in here before they’re gone……….now pass me my eye patch and find me a parrot (or Johnny Depp)!

Team Deen Visits Seaside Sisters

September 16th, 2011

The QUEEN of G.R.I.T.S (Girls Raised in the South), PAULA DEEN, made a surprise visit to Seaside Sisters this week! Our favorite deep dish, Southern fried, goddess of gastronomical glam, brought her handsome hubby, Capt. Michael, her creative right hand, Brandon Branch, and the whole crew to the shop for some fun and filming. We’re hoping we’re gonna show up on a future episode of one of Paula’s shows!

Thanks for coming in y’all…we had a BLAST and it seems Paula and Michael had a real thing for our bubble wands (Sister Susan makes the bubble concoction herself).

And don’t forget that we carry Paula’s cookbooks and a whole slew of her fabulous products at Seaside Sisters…the boast of Georgia’s coast when it comes to coastal decor, clothing and accessories (humble, we ain’t)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
